eShop packing materials…

The carton used for packing our e-commerce orders is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable.

The protective material (Bio-Fill) has been chosen for its low impact to the environment.

Unlike other void fills, it can be composted and uses no water during its manufacturing in Australia.

Bio-Fill is 100% biodegradable, it dissolves in water with no harmful residue.

Sustainability

Howards Storage World is proud to embrace awareness about everyday solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable home. We recognise that as a company we can make a difference to the environment.

We have committed to help make a difference in a variety of ways, including:

Sourcing clever products with sustainability in mind…

We are committed to continuing to look for products that are ecologically responsible, or encourage our customers to reuse, reduce or recycle.

The Howards Storage World Group Buying team is always keeping an eye on the increasing availability of products being manufactured using renewable resources. Where possible packaging will be minimised.

A key product range introduced to support this commitment, was the bamboo line which is a more renewable natural resource.

Printing

A major publication for Howards Storage World is its annual catalogue. In an exciting move the catalogue is now printed on Forest Stewardship Council certified paper. FSC certification ensures that that the paper used in this catalogue contains fibre from well-managed and responsibly harvested forests in the interest of maintaining biodiversity, productivity and ecological processes. Visit www.fsc.org for more information.

Wherever possible, Howards Storage World will endeavour to print on environmentally friendly paper stock and carry appropriate environmental messages and logos.

In our operations…

At Howards, our staff members are conscious of recycling our paper products and utilise on-site recycling bins to separate paper, plastic and glass.
